NO BACKING! Super-fabric glue adheres best when there is no shiny iron-on backing to it. I’ve personally experimented with this!
-
Check the tag! If it says “Do not iron”, the patch WON’T STICK. If it says you can, check the fabric blend. For example, 100% cotton will stick better than a 50/50 blend. When it doubt, just glue it on!

Yes! My iron-on backing is high quality & long-lasting. Use COLD water & DO NOT machine DRY! Hand-washing is best, but a delicate cycle works too.
-
I do not recommend ironing on a patch to a hat. Hats do not lay flat which will not allow the iron-on adhesive to cure properly. Unless you have a hat press, don’t attempt! Use super-fabric glue instead!

I’ve tried most of them & Aleene’s Super Fabric Adhesive works the best & is the highest quality! The first patched hat I made with that glue is still going strong one year & many washes later! You can purchase it here https://amzn.to/3WWDcDt.

Of course! If you are hand-sewing, the backing you choose doesn’t matter. If you are using a sewing machine, make sure to choose NO BACKING. The iron-on adhesive WILL BREAK YOUR MACHINE!

No minimum quantities! This makes sure all of my customers can make a custom patch, not just retailers. This will never change!
